WLKBot
[edit]Please note that what the WLKBot did to the subcategories of Category:Statens Museum for Kunst was not a bug. It was actually intended. Hjart (talk) 18:31, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- Please explain, I was asked by the owner of the bot to rollback all edits after October 1st per this thread. All the Best -- Chuck Talk 18:34, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Hjart, Can you please clarify, rather than restoring the content? All the Best -- Chuck Talk 18:38, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- What exactly was the bug? Please see User talk:Ham II#"in the Statens Museum for Kunst". I've been editing a lot of these files in the past. Hjart (talk) 18:43, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- Please read the thread in WLKBot. It has been decided not to use "the" (Statens Museum). So please roll back the rollbacks that restored the "the". Cheers Rsteen (talk) 02:48, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

Question about rights to pictures
[edit]- I saw that you put needing permission labels on pictures similar to this one Александар Јованчев.jpg. These people are public figures in North Macedonia and the pictures are from public concerts/conferences and so on, as well the meta data is there on the pictures. What kind of other permission does the user need to add so that it doesn't get deleted? Because these pictures are for a photo competition for portraits of public figures, I will add the necessary categories and templates for the competition. Jtasevski123 15:58, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing that, my request for VRT confirmation still stands, as only someone from VRT can handle it now (and I belive this is enforced by abuse filter) whatever the outcome is. When a new user uploads professional-quality photos with consistent EXIF, I am very suspicious, unless they are uploaded as a part of something like Wiki loves portraits, then I let them be unless they are found elsewhere on the internet. - Sorry but I am not familiar with these terminologies can you explain them? VRT confirmation? enforced by abuse filter? EXIF? and here is the link for the competition about portraits for reference if you need translation for the article feel free to ask! / Макпортрет 2024 -- Jtasevski123 21:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- EXIF is information about a photo, like what camera was used, lens, etc. VRT is the volunteer response team. Abuse filters are a way to prevent certain users from performing certain actions based on certain criteria. All the Best -- Chuck Talk 23:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi Chuck, we don't revdel edits which have a lot of intermediate edits in between. For example, if it were just last five-six edits, okay - but when history grows, not practical and it is usually counterproductive. See en:WP:REVDEL#Large-scale use Regards, Aafi (talk) 09:25, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Makes sense, and that reflects the testing I did on (non-wikimedia) test wiki All the Best -- Chuck Talk 15:45, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
